《yellow rose tells the story of rosario rose garcia, a 17-year-old filipino-american girl from a small texas town who has always dreamed of becoming a country music singer. but there was a sudden change in the family. her mother was arrested by the us immigration and customs enforcement. ross was forced to escape from the scene with her friend elliott. ross took her guitar and some of her only property to austin to defect to austin. however, ross felt unpopular at her aunt's house, especially her aunt's husband mark's attitude made ross feel out of place. when she settled in this cruel reality, rose asked elliot to help find her mother who was held in a detention center, while she made friends with a local tavern owner named jolin, who provided her with a job with food and board. ross, jolin and her friend jose built a small home for herself in the bar. there, rose meets the famous country music star dale watson, and dele discovers rose's musical talent. when elliot finds rose's mother, they find she will be deported back to the philippines within a few weeks. with elliot's help, the mother and daughter finally got in touch, and rose told her mother about her new home in qiao lin's house. but she was upset about her daughter’s situation and hoped that she would return to manila with her. although ross wanted to be with her mother, she finally decided to stay in the united states and continue to pursue her musical dreams. bbb
